Student dormitory, Bremen
2018
Before packing to move out of a student dormitory room, all objects present in the room were listed as precisely yet generically as possible: so that one would have a very precise idea what the object is, or what it is for, but cannot access its specificity. Before returning the room, the lists printed on A4 paper were displayed for a one-day exhibition where the objects had previously been. Of a human presence remain dust and traces of use.
In the later non-site-specific version of the work, identical furniture is placed in the exhibition space according to the former room layout.
